In order to discover the Real Amazon region you will need more that one month travel by boat from its mouth (where it begins PERU in Nevado Misimi) to the end of it, in PARÁ in Atlantic Ocean. The river changes its names depending of the region where you see it. In Brazil it enters with the name of Solimões and Merge in 40 km of Manaus, where the first meeting occur, with the Rio Negro (the Black River) .For many more kilometers it becomes the Amazon River and this meets with the Tapajós River from the City of Santarém.
How ever if you have only limited time, we put together several packages for you.And if it happens to be on the month of June, don’t forget that you can also be in the Amazonic Carnaval in Parintins. It’s the most spectacular Carnaval outside the Rio Carnaval.

Belem
Is the Capital of Pará , which is considered the entrance gate of the Amazons, because its river Guamá and Guajará Bay is only 150km of the Atlantic Ocean.Belém people are very friendly and there are many attractions to be seen. The Mercado do Peso, where the fisherman sell their catch early in the morning, the exotic fruits, love potions, and garrafadas (mixed herbs Amazonic Tonics) that are used by the local population, known as the Brazilian Viagra, Old city Center, with the stunning Portuguese architecture, and the Ilha de Mosqueiro, the island with pristine sand.
Alter do Chão
Within our itinerary to this icon of Brazil, you will have the opportunity to visit the magnificient resort village of Alter do Chão that boasts beautiful white sand beaches and turquoise water in the Rio Tapajósoverlooked by two easily climbable hills, one the shape of a church altar, giving the place its name.
